Nestled on the southeast edge of Masset Inlet • Gaw Kaahlii and near the mouth of the famous Yakoun River • Yaagun Gándlee, this area has long been used by the Haida people since time immemorial. On the site of one of seven important Haida village sites around the estuary, this logging and mill town is commonly referred to as ‘Port’ by Haida Gwaiians today.
